Summary: For our portfolio of WordPress websites, the WordPress Developer will be in charge of a variety of delivery and maintenance activities. Roles and Responsibilities: Creating custom themes and plugins; Converting websites from other platforms to WordPress; Integrating and configuring plugins like WPML, WooCommerce, Membership, etc.; Increasing WordPress sites' page loading speeds; Applying SEO best practises; Working with version control tools like GIT / SVN; Managing multiple projects at once; Creating high-quality WP content Requirements: Strong understanding of the WordPress platform; proficiency in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins; proficiency in WP plugin integration (WooCommerce WPML, Membership plugins etc) Understanding of object-oriented programming, proficiency in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins, and proficiency in WP plugin integration (WooCommerce, WPML, Membership plugins etc) Understanding of object-oriented programming; Knowledge of WordPress architecture; Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX; Knowledge of database and code optimization for WordPress; Experience integrating payment gateways; in-depth knowledge of cross-browser compatibility concerns Having a solid grasp of responsive web design principles; Being aware of W3C Web Standards, Semantics, and Accessibility Guidelines The capacity to manage several activities and projects at once Meticulous organisation and attention to detail React/AngularJS experience (preferred) Excellent spoken and written English; the capacity to adapt to a varied and multicultural setting; familiarity with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML); ability to design and implement website back-ends that integrate databases and servers.
