About the role
Job Description We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Automation QA Engineer – AI & Quality Engineering Lead to drive the next generation of intelligent test automation within our organization. This role will lead the adoption of AI-powered quality engineering practices, modern automation frameworks, and data-driven testing strategies across multiple products and teams. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with deep expertise in automation, AI-assisted testing, quality strategy, and team mentorship. You will play a key role in transforming traditional QA processes into scalable, intelligent, and highly efficient quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of AI-driven test automation frameworks and quality engineering strategies Drive adoption of intelligent testing solutions including self-healing automation, AI-generated test cases, predictive analytics, and risk-based testing Define and establish automation standards, best practices, and scalable QA processes across teams Evaluate and implement modern AI-based testing tools and platforms Collaborate with engineering, product management, DevOps, and leadership teams to improve product quality and release efficiency Lead automation architecture discussions and guide technical direction for QA initiatives Mentor and develop QA engineers in automation, AI-assisted testing, and modern quality engineering practices Build and maintain scalable automation solutions for web, mobile, API, and backend systems Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing manual effort and improving release confidence Provide leadership visibility through quality metrics, automation coverage, defect trends, and predictive quality insights Support CI/CD integration and shift-left testing initiatives Participate in strategic planning for long-term quality transformation initiatives Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation Experience managing or mentoring QA and automation teams Hands-on experience with AI-powered automation and intelligent testing platforms Strong expertise in automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing Experience implementing scalable automation architecture and enterprise QA strategies Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-based testing Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence engineering best practices Technical Skills AI-assisted testing and intelligent automation tools Self-healing automation frameworks Test case generation using AI/LLM technologies Predictive defect analysis and risk-based testing Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks API automation and performance testing Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools Test management and reporting platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience leading enterprise QA transformation initiatives Exposure to machine learning concepts applied to software testing Experience with GenAI-based productivity tools for engineering and QA workflows Experience working in Agile and scaled Agile environments Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field What We're Looking For A strategic thinker who can modernize QA practices using AI and automation A technical leader who can influence teams and drive quality culture Someone passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and scalable engineering practices A mentor who can elevate team capabilities and foster technical growth
