AWS/EKS Platform Engineer
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite) Local candidates only (Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia)
Candidates must already reside in the Washington DC region. A final face to face technical interview in Reston VA is required.
Candidates must be local to the Reston VA. The client is not considering candidates that are willing to relocate .

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS/EKS Platform Engineer to support the design, automation, and management of enterprise AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), DevOps, and CI/CD automation . This role involves building scalable cloud platforms, automating infrastructure provisioning, supporting cloud transformation initiatives, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Build and support Kubernetes platforms using Amazon EKS.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and other DevOps tools.
Write automation scripts using Python (Boto3) and Bash.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives using cloud-native architecture and microservices.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement DevOps and SRE best practices.
