Cassandra DBA

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design moderately complex databases, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers and other database objects.

· Optimize database performance through a number of techniques including but not limited to: indexing, query optimization, database design.

· Participate in periodic High Availability / Disaster Recovery tests of critical systems.

· Proactively monitor database performance, capacity planning and resource consumption.

· Provide day to day support for databases and database applications.

· Upgrade and patch DBMS's.

· Ensure databases and database objects are backed up according to business requirements, and recovery procedures are tested and documented.

Qualifications

• · Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.

• · 6+ of Cassandra

• · Ansible automation is a must.

• · 10 plus years of experience in Database Management / Data Integration.

• · Proficient in one or more Database Management Systems (e.g. DB2i, DB2 LUW, DataStax , Oracle, SQL Server).

• · Familiar with one or more replication technologies (e.g. DTShare, CDC, SQL Replication, Attunity)

• · Ability to read a Logical Data Model a plus.
