About the role
Job Title: Cloud Architect (GCP)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) local only within 1 hr drive Type: Contract GC,USC

GCP architecture (IAM, VPC, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Dataflow), cloud migration, Terraform/Deployment Manager/gcloud CLI, Python/Bash scripting, cloud security & governance, HA/DR design, and team leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or cloud architecture.
3+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on GCP.
Strong expertise with major GCP services: IAM, VPC, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, gcloud CLI).
In-depth understanding of cloud security, governance, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
Experience leading technical teams and collaborating with offshore or distributed teams.
Preferred Skills
Google Cloud certifications , ideally Professional Cloud Architect.
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices , CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment tooling.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF .
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
