Title: Consulting Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Descripiton:
The Consulting Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Semantic Layer will lead the design, implementation, and rollout of an enterprise-wide semantic layer to enable consistent, governed, and scalable access to reporting and analytics data across working platforms. This individual will partner closely with data engineering, DevOps, and product teams to define architecture, deployment strategies, and integration pathways that enhance data accessibility, accuracy, and business value.
The SME will also play a key role in deploying an AI-driven Data Analyst Agent, leveraging Agent Studio to empower both internal support users and clients with intelligent, self-service data capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Create an enterprise semantic layer that delivers a unified, business-friendly view of complex data sources, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with ADP's data governance standards.
Recommend and design architecture and rollout strategies for the semantic layer, defining data models, metadata standards, and performance optimization practices.
Coordinate the deployment of the semantic layer to internal support associates, providing documentation, training, and best practices to ensure successful adoption.
Continuously validate and refine semantic models to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with evolving business and technical requirements.
Support DevOps teams in installing, configuring, and deploying the semantic layer infrastructure, ensuring reliability, monitoring, and operational readiness.
Integrate the semantic layer with existing ADP reporting and analytics frameworks, enhancing data discoverability and usability across the enterprise.
Deploy and operationalize a Data Analyst AI Agent built on Agent Studio to deliver AI-assisted reporting and analysis capabilities, driving measurable client value.
8+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise analytics.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing semantic layers or business data models for large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of data integration, metadata management, and business intelligence frameworks (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, ThoughtSpot).
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack tools.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly in deploying AI agents or automation frameworks for analytics.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
Experience working in consulting or cross-functional enterprise transformation projects preferred.
