Title: Senior Healthcare Data Analyst - Prior Authorization Automation Strategy

Location: 100% remote EST hours required

Duration: 1 year expectation + possible extensions + ability to convert without sponsorship

Interview Process: 1-2 rounds of teams video

Must haves:

3-5+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis

Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced pivot tables and complex data manipulation

Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights

Proven experience in identifying automation opportunities within operational or clinical workflows

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to independently explore data and develop hypotheses

Strong presentation and storytelling skills using PowerPoint

Comfortable operating at a senior individual contributor level; proactive, self-directed, and solution-oriented

Pluses:

Experience working with prior authorization data or operations in either a healthcare payer or provider setting

Familiarity with healthcare automation tools

Background in process improvement or operational efficiency projects

Experience with claims data, authorization data, or provider performance analysis

Day to day:

Analyze legacy prior authorization workflows to uncover inefficiencies and opportunities for automation

Leverage three automation tools to modernize current manual processes, focusing on high-cost and high-volume procedures (ex. spinal procedures)

Conduct deep data reviews to identify trends and patterns (ex. provider approval rates, submission success factors)

Evaluate where automation is lacking and propose clear, data-backed recommendations for where it can be applied next

Partner closely with internal stakeholders and team members to test hypotheses and validate opportunities

Present findings and strategic insights in a clear, digestible format (Excel, PowerPoint) to influence decision-making

After a one-month onboarding period, independently lead your own analyses and drive initiatives forward with minimal oversight

Deliver executive-level presentations synthesizing data into actionable business recommendations

Provide pressure relief for team members by taking full ownership of assigned analytical workstreams
