Client is looking for a Data Engineer/Data Analyst with 3-6 years of experience. Must haves and day to day:
Must be coming out of the Healthcare/Clinical Industry
The majority of the time will be spent in SQL- querying multiple databases for different apps
Strong report writing experience is a must. Must be able to take data from reports and aggregate data into PowerBI. Some of the dashboards will show radiologist productivity by shift, time of day, etc. This gives the radiologist a real-time view of what is being achieved. This person is engineering the data- reporting in PowerBI and working with others- not just having to write reports.
There may be one off report requests to pull billing data or information for patient self scheduling, etc.
The type of reporting that will drive the business need: 40% financial, 30% executive dashboard, 30% operational.

Duration : 6 mths, possible extensions
Interview Process: There will be 2 virtual rounds max.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with groups across company to understand how data is used and its value add.
Contribute to the standardization of data management tools.
Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive better understanding of organizational needs, outcomes and improve efficiency.
Communicate, present, and demonstrate the results of data modeling and analysis to diverse audiences including senior executives, evangelize use of new capabilities and upskill the organization (including IT) to leverage these capabilities.
Define and implement plan for ground-up reengineering of existing reports and data assets.
Facilitate development and implementation of data quality standards, protection, and adoption.
Captures user requirements through collaboration with vendors, department managers, end users and business analysts for reports and analytics; defines and documents user and data workflows.
Participates in evaluation of new and existing technologies, understand how it will impact and add to data ecosystem and makes recommendations for improvements and/or efficiencies.
Assists in efforts to uphold the trust of stakeholders by ensuring data is protected from unauthorized or inappropriate access; ensures the integrity of data assets.
Creates all necessary documentation related to data, reporting and analytics.
Exhibits excellent troubleshooting skills, resolves issues and implements strategies to address reoccurrences.
Assists with quality control measures and system alerts to ensure all data transactions reach the appropriate end points.
Works with ambiguity and develops a deeper understanding of organizational needs to provide value-added solutions; eliminates ambiguity through documentation and requirements definition.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts and data analysis results into simplified business terms and present to executives and business stakeholders.
Adheres to department and project standards, company's code of conduct and acts in accordance with company's mission, vision and values.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the healthcare environment
Proficiency in SQL query language and able to use many query and reporting tools
Knowledge of delivery methods, analytics applications and tool portfolio, data sourcing and ETL integration methods
Ability to collaboratively solve problems and influence others to contribute to solutions through data collaboration and data sharing
A passion for learning new technologies with a track record of acting on this in prior roles
Ability to quickly understand the needs for programs and services delivery
Basic understanding and familiarity with government regulations (e.g. HIPAA, Clinical Decision Support) preferred
Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
A team player and collaborative attitude.
EDUCATION:
BS, BA in computer science or Information Systems, or work experience equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience working with data warehousing systems for enterprises with both internal and portals, preferably with real time transactional data.
Experience working with diverse data sets in large or complex enterprises manipulating data and drawing business insights
Practical experience developing and implementing advanced data analytics
Experience in outpatient imaging setting and hospital applications a plus.
Experience with Ancillary systems such as PACS, Voice Recognition Software, and an understanding of their relationship to both the interface and the function of the healthcare practice a plus
Knowledge of Healthcare systems such as Intelerad, Epic, Meditech, Quest Diagnostics, Athena, eCW, AllScripts, Cerner a plus
