About the role
Senior Data Engineer (SQL Server + Data Modeling)
Location: LATAM/US (Primary), Eastern Europe (Secondary) Duration: 6-9 months
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in SQL Server and data modeling to join the Project team. This role focuses on optimizing data storage, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring efficient data integration across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize SQL Server data models and ensure efficient database performance.
Design and implement data exploration and reporting tools for enterprise applications.
Document data models, relationships, and data flows clearly.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for effective data integration and validation.
Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance and modeling standards.
Skills and Qualifications

Strong expertise in SQL Server, including advanced data modeling, indexing, and query optimization techniques.

Deep understanding of T-SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, and views.

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes.

Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI for data visualization.

Experience in data integration and collaboration with development teams.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.

Certifications and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in SQL Server or data engineering are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer specializing in SQL Server.
