Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Maintains and updates property record changes, which entails overseeing the ongoing integrity of the GIS parcel layer for conveyances and acquisitions, as well as research public and corporate land records to identify ownership and source of title. Provides property matter support on boundary disputes, encroachments, and other property activities. Additionally, produces exhibits and maps for defense against stormwater and other special assessments using GIS analysis tools and other technical skills.
Principal Duties:
• Maintain the integrity of property records making edits in GIS Parcel layer using ESRI ARGIS Pro.
• Research public and corporate land records to identify owners and source of title.
• Analyze plans, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Assist in resolving boundary line discrepancies.
• Assist in analysis of special assessments utilizing GIS and other technical tools.
• Prepare exhibits, maps, and other documents to protect property rights.
• Apply meticulous attention to detail and accuracy to ensure that the information provided contains no errors.
• Helps coordinate Geographical Information System (GIS) functions within Engineering Department.
