Job Description:

We're looking for a Junior Platform Engineer to join our engineering team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering, who's eager to grow in a hands-on technical environment. You'll support platform stability, automation, and cloud operations across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code environments.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)

Monitor systems and resolve incidents with guidance from senior engineers

Contribute to infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi

Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to streamline deployments and testing

Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, and documentation

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering role

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP also acceptable)

• Familiarity with Linux systems, networking basics, and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)

• Exposure to tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, etc.

• Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus

• Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and based in the Toronto area
