About the role
Job description/Background
Provide hands-on support for the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the Kansas factory, including on-site IT support.
The client is currently experiencing multiple issues during the launch phase of the Kansas factory. To ensure stable and continuous production, additional support is required—particularly in the implementation of manufacturing execution systems, including line automation and manufacturing record traceability.
Duties and responsibilities
Identify and define issues, determine the relevant teams and stakeholders involved, and develop response plans and system requirements.
Document identified issues, response strategies, system requirements, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with client employees to manage and resolve engineering-related issues.
Facilitate communication and alignment between Japanese expatriates and local Kansas employees.
Required skills/experience
Communication : Ability to build strong relationships and establish trust with mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineers in both English and Japanese.
Manufacturing Knowledge : Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical, factory-specific solutions.
Preferred skills/experience
Manufacturing Experience : Prior experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in system implementation projects, is highly desirable.
System Requirements Definition : Capability to define system requirements to address manufacturing site challenges effectively.
MES Knowledge : Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems, with the ability to quickly understand system operations and workflows.
