.Net Application Security Engineer remote
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled .Net Application Security Engineer to join a remote team focused on securing modern applications and infrastructure. This role will collaborate with internal development teams and leadership to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Remediate security vulnerabilities across full-stack environments (.NET, Angular/React, MS SQL)
Ensure security posture across both cloud and on-prem platforms
Analyze and resolve findings from:
GitHub Advanced Security (Dependabot, Code Scanning, Secret Scanning)
Wiz (Cloud Security Posture Management)
Ethical hacking reports (e.g., HackerOne)
Implement secure authentication on internal APIs (transitioning from anonymous access)
Configure and troubleshoot OIDC-based authentication and authorization
Act on technical security recommendations and reports
Required Skills:
Deep understanding of web application and API security
Familiarity with .NET tech stack, JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React), and MS SQL
Experience with GitHub Security tools, Wiz, HackerOne
Ability to configure secure OIDC Identity Providers
Excellent communication and ability to work with leadership and developers
Self-driven and able to manage end-to-end remediation tasks independently
