OKTA Engineer

Title: Okta Engineer

Duration: 12 months

Location: Remote (No West Coast candidates)

For this role, we are placing particular emphasis on candidates with strong Okta Identity Governance (OIG) experience , in addition to the requirements below. The ideal candidates will demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:

Okta (with a strong focus on Identity Governance)

Networking

Scripting

Cybersecurity principles and practices

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Cisco technologies

Microsoft ecosystem, including Active Directory infrastructure integration

Experience identifying critical systems and implementing least-privilege access controls

Integration with enterprise systems, particularly via APIs

Workflow and attestation development

Additionally, candidates should bring:

Solid understanding of network and security architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions

Knowledge of cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, SIEM technologies, risk and vulnerability management, and access control/authentication frameworks

Ability to translate threat analysis into risk-based decision-making and business-aligned security priorities

Strong analytical skills to interpret business needs and develop practical, value-driven security solutions

Experience engaging with stakeholders to address information security needs and communicate security program value and roadmap

Proven ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

A proactive mindset with the ability to quickly learn complex environments and work independently toward goals

Flexibility to support on-call requirements as needed
