MariaDB/MySQL & PostgreSQL DBA (5+ yrs) with strong Linux admin, HA/DR solutions (Galera, Patroni, Pacemaker), performance tuning, scripting (Bash/Python/Ansible), monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), and bonus experience in NewSQL (TiDB, CockroachDB, Yugabyte, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support HA/DR solutions for MariaDB and Postgres environments.

• Manage database clusters, replication, backup/restore, failover, and monitoring.

• Optimize query performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure database uptime.

• Work closely with engineering teams to support application integration and scalability.

• Implement automation for provisioning, patching, and upgrades in Linux-based environments.

• Maintain documentation, best practices, and security standards for database operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA with a focus on MariaDB/MySQL and Postgres .

• Strong hands-on skills in Linux system administration .

• Proven experience implementing HA/DR solutions (Galera Cluster, Patroni, Pacemaker/Corosync, etc.).

• Familiarity with TiDB or other distributed SQL databases is a strong plus .

• Other NEW SQL tools besides TiDB are CockroachDB, Yugabyte, Clustrix, MemSQL

• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Percona Monitoring, etc.).

• Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or Ansible) for automation.

• Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
