I will be VERY open with you in that they have received a lot of resumes prior to us and interviewed a few people but have faced a number of issues including poor resume writing, poor communication skills, locational issues and lack of ability to technically explain the relevant experience.
THE lEAD IS VERY technical indeed so any submits need to know that from the get-go and be prepared to go that deep in interviews.
BUT this is the time where we step in and show them the quality of those we can find.

Description
The Database Administrator II is a mid-level professional responsible for managing and maintaining relational database systems across on-premise and cloud environments.
This role plays a critical part in provisioning, tuning, securing, and supporting Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
The DBA II collaborates with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure database reliability, scalability, and performance, and contributes to initiatives that improve automation and operational excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Independently provision and configure Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for dev, test, and production environments
Perform database patching, backup and recovery operations, and access control management
Monitor performance metrics, investigate alerts, and perform SQL and instance-level tuning
Collaborate with software engineers to support schema changes and performance review cycles
Contribute to HA/DR planning, replication setup (e.g., Oracle Data Guard), and environment refresh processes
Participate in capacity planning and regularly assess infrastructure health
Begin contributing to automation of routine administrative tasks using scripts and orchestration tools
Job Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience administering Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
Proficiency in SQL and database management tools (e.g., RMAN, OEM, SQL Developer, pgAdmin)
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting
Working knowledge of backup/recovery procedures, access control, and schema design
Preferred Qualification
Experience with Oracle multitenant environments and PostgreSQL replication
Exposure to cloud database services (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure Postgres)
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and Git version control
Knowledge of compliance and audit practices related to data security
