Location: Cherry Hill, NJ (Mostly Remote – Onsite as Needed for Go-Lives) need local

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled PACS Administrator to manage and support our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) environment, with a primary focus on GE PACS Workflow Manager . The ideal candidate will ensure high system availability, data integrity, and smooth integration between PACS, RIS, and other healthcare IT systems. This role is critical in maintaining reliable imaging workflows for physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and monitor PACS systems, focusing on GE PACS Workflow Manager .

Provide day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PACS, RIS, and related imaging applications.

Collaborate closely with Radiology, IT, and Clinical teams to identify and resolve workflow or system issues.

Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations with EMR/EHR systems, modality devices, and other IT platforms.

Maintain user accounts, access controls, and security configurations in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.

Oversee data storage, archiving, and retrieval of medical images to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Coordinate with vendors (e.g., GE Healthcare) for issue resolution, optimization, and system enhancements.

Develop and deliver user training materials, documentation, and operational procedures for clinicians and technical staff.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a PACS Administrator, preferably supporting GE PACS Workflow Manager .

Strong knowledge of DICOM , HL7 , and IHE standards for medical imaging interoperability.

Experience with modality integrations (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, etc.) and radiology workflows.

Familiarity with healthcare IT systems including EHR/EMR, RIS, and VNA.

Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance , data privacy, and information security best practices.

Excellent problem-solving , communication, and collaboration skills across technical and clinical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large hospital or healthcare system environments .

  • Hands-on experience with PACS migrations or system upgrades .

  • Knowledge of SQL , Windows Server , and networking concepts related to PACS performance.

  • Vendor certifications from GE Healthcare or related imaging systems are a plus.
