Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL, INTEX, and ETL to support a critical modernization initiative for Santander Bank. The selected consultant will be responsible for refactoring the ARDA application to use a dedicated PostgreSQL (PSI DB) instance, enhancing the existing INTEX ecosystem, improving integrations, and driving architecture modernization.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business teams while helping shape the future-state platform.

Key Responsibilities

Refactor ARDA application code to migrate from a shared PSI database to a dedicated PostgreSQL instance.

Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL database solutions for enterprise applications.

Analyze the current INTEX implementation and recommend improvements for scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Build and enhance INTEX integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including APIs, databases, security master data, analytics platforms, and market data providers.

Design and implement ETL processes for structured finance data ingestion and transformation.

Conduct architecture reviews, document system design, data flows, dependencies, and integration patterns.

Improve automation, reduce manual processes, and enhance operational efficiency across the INTEX platform.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define the future-state architecture.

Create comprehensive technical and application documentation and participate in knowledge transfer sessions.

Review updated PostgreSQL integration and documentation with the CTO.

Required Skills

8+ years of software development experience.

Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database development, optimization, and administration.

Extensive experience with the INTEX platform .

Experience with ETL development , data integration, and data transformation processes.

Strong understanding of structured finance products:

ABS

RMBS

CMBS

CLO

CDO

MBS

Experience designing enterprise integrations using:

REST APIs

ETL frameworks

Database synchronization

Messaging systems

Strong SQL development and database performance tuning experience.

Experience documenting technical architecture and integration flows.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in banking or financial services.

Knowledge of enterprise architecture and modernization initiatives.

Experience working with large-scale financial data platforms.

Spanish language skills are a plus.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to work onsite in New York City.
