Power BI Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in delivering high-quality data visualization and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, and data modeling, with the ability to transform complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI

Work with large and complex datasets to build scalable data models

Write advanced DAX queries to support business logic and analytics

Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and understand reporting requirements

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization

Translate business needs into effective data visualization solutions

Support ad hoc reporting and data analysis requests

Required Qualifications:

Strong experience with Power BI development and dashboard creation

Proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and data visualization best practices

Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics solutions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with Texas state agencies or education data

• Familiarity with public sector reporting environments

• Experience working in hybrid/remote project setups
