Title: Principal Infrastructure Architect

Duration: 12-month contract to hire

Location: Remote

NOTE: Candidate must live in the attached hirable states

This is a strategic architecture role , not a hands-on engineering or server deployment position. We are looking for an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect who can define infrastructure strategy, develop enterprise roadmaps, and guide modernization initiatives—not someone focused primarily on design, implementation, or day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in developing strategic infrastructure solutions and influencing enterprise technology direction .

Must-Have Qualifications

10+ years of enterprise infrastructure and/or cloud architecture experience.

Extensive experience with enterprise infrastructure strategy and road mapping .

Strong hybrid cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP .

Broad infrastructure knowledge, including experience with some combination of:

Networking (firewalls, DNS)

Storage (SAN/NAS)

Backup and recovery

Virtualization

Experience with or a solid understanding of AIOps and FinOps .

Hands-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Ansible .

Experience with enterprise observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, or Dynatrace .

Strong experience designing highly available, resilient enterprise solutions, including:

Disaster Recovery (DR)

High Availability (HA)

Business Continuity

Fault Tolerance

Failover

Executive-level communication skills with experience presenting to C-level leadership and collaborating across Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Security, and external partners (including MSPs).

Relevant certifications such as AWS or Azure are required, TOGAF, ITIL, and/or Terraform are a plus
