Senior Data Architect

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (Dept. of Public Health) is looking for a Senior Data Architect.

Must be Hybrid in Boston, MA

You must disclose your Pay Rate and the Pay Rate to the Candidate (EOHHS rules)

Must have

Strong AWS (prefer Certification)

Strong Informatica (IICS)

Recent experience with Snowflake

Designs and develops architecture of cloud-based data management systems.

Proficiency and practical experience in implementing Centralized (Data Warehouse) and decentralized (Data Mesh) data architectures.

Creates data models including data storage, access, and usage patterns for cloud environments.

Title: Senior Data Architect

Location: The primary work location for this role will be 1000 Washington St., Boston, Massachusetts 02118. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM EST. This position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in office workdays and work from home days as needed.

Location Details: no onsite parking for contractors; public trans accessible

Important Skills

Technical – Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification or Cloud Data architect Certification, Snowflake certification, Tableau reporting experience, Informatica IICS experience

Soft – Strong communication skills comfortable explaining/proposing solutions to technical stakeholders, vendors, and business consumers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Data Architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, enterprise and business information system architectures, and system engineering

• Thorough knowledge and Implementation experience of data warehouse and Enterprise Data architecture principles.

• 3-5 years of experience architecting/developing Cloud-based (AWS) data solutions.

• 5+ years of Cloud database platform experience such as Snowflake.

• Experience in creating, reviewing and maintaining end-to-end data architectures.

• Strong communication skills comfortable explaining/proposing solutions to technical stakeholders, vendors, and business consumers.

• Proficiency with Unix, Linux, and shell scripting

• Experience working with a large, multi-terabyte enterprise data platform in Cloud.

• Experience with system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery, and networking.

• Informatica (IICS) ETL as well as Python coding experience

• Experience working with highly sensitive health care information and familiar with HIPAA and other data privacy controls.
