Role Summary
We are seeking a Solution Architect with a strong background in application modernization and enterprise data platform migrations. This role will lead the design and architecture of solutions for migrating from SAP HANA to Snowflake, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide solution architecture leadership & strategy development.
Engage with BAs to translate functional and non-functional requirements into solution designs.
Lead the overall design, including detailed configuration.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture.
Conduct thorough reviews of code and BRDs to ensure alignment with architectural standards, business needs, and technical feasibility.
Evaluate system designs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance while adhering to best practices and organizational guidelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during coding, integration, and testing phases to maintain project timelines and quality.
Strong expertise in data warehousing and data modelling
Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes, building complex pipelines and data ingestion.
SQL Skillset needed:
Should be able to write Advanced SQL, complex joins.
Subqueries - correlated /non-correlated, CTEs.
Window functions.
Aggregations - Group by, rollup, cube, pivot.
Snowflake Skilled needed:
Should be able to understand and write UDFs and stored procedures in snowflake.
Have good understanding of Snowflake architecture, clustering , micro partitions, caching, virtual warehouse, stages, storage , security(row and column level security).
Knowledge of snowflake features (Streams, time -travel, zero copy cloning, Snowpark and tasks).
Provide expert recommendations on frameworks, tools, and methodologies to optimize development efficiency and system robustness.
Performance tuning within Snowflake (Performance bottlenecks, materialized views, search optimization)
Solution design- Ability to architect scalable, cost-effective snowflake solutions.
Cost management - Monitor and optimize Snowflake credit usage and storage costs.
