Title: SQL Database Developer
Location: 100% remote EST hours required
Onsite Requirements: 100% remote
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months + option to convert required
Must haves:
3-5+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience
Advanced SQL database design, development, and optimization
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL:
Building and maintaining transformation packages
Optimizing data flows and storage
Tableau
Strong experience with:
Stored procedures (including parameterized & dynamic SQL)
Indexing strategies
Triggers, functions, and objects
Writing and tuning complex queries
Experience working with PHI-sensitive data (understanding access restrictions)
Strong communication skills:
Speaks up in meetings
Proactive with business stakeholders
Comfortable clarifying requirements independently
Ability to work EST hours
Bachelor's degree (doesn't have to be Computer Science)
Day-to-day:
Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases supporting Medicare applications
Build and maintain SSIS ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Optimize queries and database performance for large datasets
Support reporting and analytics efforts (Tableau / Power BI)
Collaborate daily with developers, BAs, and QA testers
Participate actively in team meetings and technical discussions
Proactively reach out to the business when requirements are unclear or evolving
Ensure compliance with PHI and healthcare data security standards
