Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Network Engineer III with strong expertise in Fortinet technologies to support and enhance a large-scale, multi-site enterprise network environment. This role is critical in ensuring network reliability, performance, and security across hundreds of firewalls, switches, and access points.
The ideal candidate will lead complex troubleshooting, drive network optimization initiatives, and serve as a subject matter expert for Fortinet platforms in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex network issues across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and firewall environments
Administer and support Fortinet solutions including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiManager
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network configurations, standards, and security policies
Support SD-WAN architecture, circuit failover strategies, and performance optimization across multiple locations
Develop and maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, SOPs, and configuration standards
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve carrier and connectivity issues
Participate in change management processes, maintenance windows, and risk assessments
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership when required
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager)
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, and wireless networks
Experience managing large-scale environments with multiple sites and extensive network infrastructure
Expertise in firewall policies, network segmentation, VPNs, and security best practices
Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and multi-site network operations
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred
Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical environments
Exposure to network monitoring and automation tools
Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CCNP) are a plus
