Day to Day:
Initially this person will be responsible for HVR, Fivetran, and Snowflake. This will be the most senior resource on the team and will be involved in training and developing the skillset of the existing team. This resource will need to learn the DBMS technologies – DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc. – since, when paired with Snowflake, HVR serves as a CDC ingestion layer that captures data from the source and replicates them efficiently into Snowflake. They will manage the security and architecture of Snowflake, identify performance issues and monitoring.
We need a strong candidate with some leadership skill (may not be managing other people but will be managing tasks and driving the delivery of new architecture components). They should be proactive, solution seeking, contributors, strong communication skills and someone that strives for continuous learning.
The major technical skills would include
Snowflake Administration/Configuration, HVR/FIVETRAN Replication or just knowledge of replication tasks overall
knowledge of DMS, AWS, CDC Concepts, SQL Skills, DRBC and High Availability concepts
background and ability to performance tune and monitor areas they are accountable for in a modern automated fashion.
