About the role
Responsibilities

Support and sustain current system products, ensuring security posture is maintained and issues are resolved promptly.

Provide direct communication, coordination, and technical support to system users and key stakeholders.

Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to support product modernization and future architecture development.

Perform engineering design activities following established best practices.

Contribute to the development of technical documentation including user manuals, white papers, system descriptions, and presentations.

Develop working knowledge of DoD and commercial security regulations relevant to the product line.

Support client/server deployments and contribute to system integration activities.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Education & Experience Requirements
-
Systems Engineer Required Knowledge & Skills
-
REQUIRED Secret clearance (Final TS preferred).
-
3–5 years of relevant engineering or system integration experience.
-
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
-
Must be willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ within six months of hire.
-
Experience with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, IIS).
-
Familiarity with network design, VPN technologies, and virtualization platforms.
-
Understanding of Linux fundamentals and scripting basics (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
-
Understanding of OSI model, troubleshooting techniques, and cybersecurity best practices.
-
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
-
Exposure to emerging technologies such as NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
-
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
-
Self-driven and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

Excellent attention to detail, professionalism, and communication skills (written and verbal).

Experience integrating computer hardware and software systems.

Experience with Linux Security Modules or SELinux.

Familiarity with Splunk administration and vulnerability scanning tools.
