Plumbing Design Engineer (MEP)

As a Plumbing Design Engineer (PHE) with 38 years of experience in MEP Design Consultancy, your role will involve designing complete plumbing systems for various building projects. This includes water supply systems, drainage systems, storm water systems, tank sizing, hydraulic calculations, and plumbing BOQ preparation. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of key tasks: - Water Supply System Design: - Preparation of Water Inlet & Outlet Plumbing Design - Internal and External Water Supply Layouts - Water Demand Calculation as per NBC / CPHEEO guidelines - Pump Head Calculation and Pump Selection - Design of Sump Tank and Overhead Tank - Water Distribution Riser Design - Hot and Cold Water System Design - Drainage & Sewerage System Design: - Drainage Design using Fixture Unit (FU) Calculation - Sanitary Drainage Layout Design - Vent Pipe Sizing & Vent Layout - Manhole & Inspection Chamber Layout Planning - Storm Water & Rainwater System Design: - Complete Storm Water Design - Roof Drainage Layout - Rainwater Harvesting System Design - Storm Water Discharge Planning - Tank & Pump Room Engineering: - Sump Tank Design - Overhead Tank Design - Pump Room Layout Planning - BOQ & Documentation: - Plumbing BOQ Preparation - Preparation of Detailed Material Specifications - Isometric Drawings for Complex Piping - Coordination & Compliance: - Coordination with Electrical, HVAC, Structural & Architectural Teams - Compliance with NBC Part 9 Knowledge of CPHEEO Guidelines To qualify for this role, you need to have a B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 38 years of experience in Plumbing / PHE MEP Design Consultancy. Experience in Residential, Commercial, and Hospitality Projects is preferred. You must possess strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Excel, along with knowledge of Water Supply & Drainage Design Principles. Additionally, hands-on experience in various aspects of plumbing design and strong analytical abilities are essential. In this position, you are expected to demonstrate high attention to detail, effective coordination skills, multi-project handling capability, and the ability to meet strict design deadlines. Your role will require you to work closely with various teams and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.
