About the role
Role & responsibilities we are hiring For banglore Position: Electrical Design Engineer Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC / Offshore / Onshore Software: ETAP (Mandatory) Contract Duration: 1 Year (Extendable) Key Responsibilities Perform power system studies using ETAP , including: Load Flow Analysis Short Circuit Analysis Motor Starting Analysis Protection Coordination Studies Arc Flash Analysis (preferred) Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical system layouts. Design and size electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgears, UPS systems, MCCs, and generators. Perform cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and cable schedule preparation. Develop earthing/grounding and lightning protection designs. Prepare lighting layouts and illumination calculations. Review vendor drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil, and Piping disciplines. Support FEED, Detailed Engineering, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects. Ensure compliance with applicable international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, and client specifications. Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and technical discussions with clients and project teams. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with ETAP . Experience in electrical design for Oil & Gas, EPC, Offshore, or Onshore projects. Good understanding of power distribution systems and electrical engineering calculations. Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering projects. Knowledge of AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), or Dialux is an added advantage.
