SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER -Sheet METAL- Solid Works

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer Sheet Metal with strong expertise in SolidWorks to design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sheet metal design, manufacturing processes, and product development using SolidWorks. Candidates with experience in other CAD software are not required; proficiency in SolidWorks is mandatory. Key Responsibilities Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks.Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and detailed fabrication documentation.Perform sheet metal design activities including bends, flat patterns, tolerance stack-ups, and GD&T.Develop products considering manufacturability, cost optimization, and quality requirements.Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing.Modify existing designs based on engineering changes and customer requirements.Review drawings and BOMs for accuracy and completeness.Support prototype development and resolve manufacturing issues.Ensure compliance with company and customer engineering standards.Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.510 years of experience in sheet metal product design.Mandatory hands-on experience in SolidWorks (Sheet Metal Module).Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and fabrication.Experience in preparing fabrication drawings and assembly drawings.Good understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and engineering standards.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Mandatory Skills SolidWorks (Mandatory)Sheet Metal Design3D Modeling & 2D DraftingManufacturing DrawingsBOM PreparationGD&TDesign for Manufacturing (DFM)Preferred Skills Experience in product development from concept to production.Knowledge of ERP/PDM systems.Exposure to prototype development and design validation.Experience 510 YearsLocation [Coimbatore - Karuparayan Palayam ]Employment Type Full-timeNotice Period Immediate to 30 days preferred.Note: Only candidates with relevant SolidWorks sheet metal design experience will be considered.
