Your role and responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for the welding process development of new products, including welding trial production, defining welding procedure and welding parameters, robot programming, developing welding fixtures and solving welding problems in the production. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions division in China. You will be mainly accountable for: Welding Process Development and Validation: Responsible for the welding trial production of new products, including manual welding and robotic welding. Responsible for the welding DFM analysis and new products welding process development (including TIG welding, MIG/MAG welding, resistance welding, laser welding, etc.). Responsible for the development, commissioning and acceptance of welding fixtures and jigs. Responsible for Welding Procedure Qualification (PQR) and the draft Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Draft for welding operations SOPs Production Support and Problem Solving: Organize welding process training. Analyze welding defects (such as porosity, cracks, lack of fusion, etc.) and propose improvement solutions. Programming and debugging of welding robots Qualifications for the role Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical or welding related. Experience in welding process development or application is required. Experience in welding applications for power equipment is preferred. Proficient in TIG, MIG/MAG, stud welding, resistance welding, laser welding etc. welding processes. Familiar with welding quality inspection standards and procedure qualification standards (e.g., ISO, AWS), and capable of conducting process validation and quality control in accordance with these standards. Skilled in operating various manual welding equipment. Capable of programming, debugging, and maintaining industrial robots (e.g., ABB) to support the implementation and optimization of automated welding production lines. Experienced in designing welding fixtures and jigs, and able to participate in the selection, integration, or development of automated welding equipment. Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for the design and drafting of fixtures and jigs. Proficient in welding simulation software for conducting welding process modeling and analysis. Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral. What's in it for you?
