This Position reports to: Principal Software Engineer What we believe in ABB’s Process Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the world’s largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun – leaner and cleaner. Your role and responsibilities We’re looking for a strong UI Automation Engineer / Software Developer with hands-on experience in building scalable automation for modern cloud applications. In this role, you’ll work on UI and API automation, improve quality feedback through CI/CD pipelines, and help drive a modern quality engineering approach using AI-assisted and agentic automation where it adds real value. The work model for the role is: Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Design, build, and maintain UI automation for critical product and user workflows Develop and enhance UI/API automation frameworks Drive end-to-end validation across product features and integrations Improve automation stability, maintainability, and execution reliability Troubleshoot automation failures, pipeline issues, and flaky tests Contribute to performance-focused validation and test data / simulation readiness Use AI-assisted and agent-based automation techniques to accelerate development, debugging, and test effectiveness Collaborate with SMEs, developers, and cross-functional teams to automate the right business-critical flows Qualifications for the role: 3–6 years of experience in software development / test automation Strong coding experience in C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Protractor, or similar UI automation tools Good experience in UI and API test development Exposure to REST / SOAP web services testing Good understanding of automation framework design, code quality, and CI/CD integration Solid understanding of web protocols, application architecture, and debugging Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with agentic automation or AI-assisted coding tools Exposure to Microsoft Azure Azure certifications Experience working with distributed / global teams More about us ABB is a leading global technology company that energizes the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future.
