Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Description: You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing web-based Java applications to support business requirements. This will involve following approved life cycle methodologies, creating design documents, and performing program coding and testing. In this role, you will also need to resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. A degree of creativity and latitude is required in order to accomplish the goals effectively. You will typically report to a supervisor or manager. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications - Follow approved life cycle methodologies - Create design documents - Perform program coding and testing - Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in area of specialty - Experience in the field or in a related area - Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field - Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, and developing MicroServices - Knowledge or experience in Cassandra preferred - Knowledge or experience in Kafka - Familiarity with reporting tools like Splunk/Grafana - Understanding of Protobuf - Familiarity with Python/Ruby (good to have but not mandatory) Job Description: You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
