Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineer Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineer to design, build, and manage a scalable VPS hosting platform based on Proxmox, Linux, and modern cloud infrastructure technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with virtualization, networking, automation, storage systems, and large-scale infrastructure management. This role will be responsible for building the foundation of our cloud hosting platform, including server virtualization, provisioning systems, monitoring, security, and automation. Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Virtualization Deploy, configure, and manage Proxmox VE environments.Design and maintain VPS hosting infrastructure.Create and manage VM templates, snapshots, backups, and recovery procedures.Implement high-availability and clustering solutions.Plan infrastructure scaling from single-node to multi-node environments.Linux Administration Manage Linux-based servers and hosting infrastructure.Troubleshoot operating system, performance, and resource issues.Optimize server performance and resource allocation.Implement security hardening and best practices.Networking Configure and manage:IPv4 / IPv6 networkingVLANsRoutingFirewallsVPNsLoad balancingDiagnose and resolve network-related issues.Design scalable network architectures for hosting environments.Storage & Data Management Configure and maintain ZFS storage.Manage Ceph storage clusters (preferred).Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.Monitor storage performance and capacity planning.Automation & Platform Engineering Develop infrastructure automation solutions.Build provisioning workflows using APIs.Create scripts and tools for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.Integrate virtualization infrastructure with custom client portals.Monitoring & Security Implement monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent tools.Manage alerts, incident response, and system health checks.Maintain infrastructure security and access controls.Handle abuse prevention and DDoS mitigation strategies.Required Skills 1+ years of Linux administration experience.Strong expertise in Proxmox VE and KVM virtualization.Strong networking knowledge:TCP/IPRoutingVLANsDNSFirewallsExperience with ZFS storage.Experience with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.Experience with monitoring platforms such as Grafana and Prometheus.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience with Ceph storage clusters.Experience with BGP and ASN management.Experience in hosting companies, cloud providers, ISPs, or datacenters.Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience building cloud platforms or VPS hosting environments.Familiarity with automation and provisioning systems.Nice to Have Experience managing 50+ server environments.Experience designing multi-datacenter architectures.Knowledge of billing and hosting automation platforms.Experience integrating APIs with infrastructure management systems.Compensation: 20,000.00 - 60,000.00 per month Work Location: In person Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineer Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineer to design, build, and manage a scalable VPS hosting platform based on Proxmox, Linux, and modern cloud infrastructure technologies.
