About the role
As a Software Development Lead at our company, you will be in charge of overseeing and leading the development process for key features and services spanning both backend and frontend systems. Collaboration with architects and team leads to create scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions will be a significant part of your role. It is essential to write clean, modular, and testable code following TDD, design patterns, and coding best practices. Your responsibilities will include: - Taking ownership and leading the development of key features across backend and frontend - Collaborating with architects and leads to design scalable and maintainable systems - Writing clean, modular, and testable code while following TDD and design patterns - Ensuring seamless integration between backend services and frontend applications - Guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions - Advocating for engineering best practices like peer reviews, static code analysis, and CI/CD hygiene - Contributing to defining coding standards and development workflows aligned with our quality expectations - Utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI tools to enhance development and testing processes - Exploring and suggesting new frameworks, libraries, or tools to boost team productivity and code quality - Working closely with QA and SRE teams to guarantee high performance, availability, and test coverage - Developing and maintaining automated test suites for various types of testing - Monitoring production systems, analyzing performance metrics, and proactively addressing bottlenecks - Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow engineers to convert business requirements into technical solutions - Participating in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and post-mortems - Contributing to documentation, design specifications, and engineering knowledge bases Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of software development experience with strong backend skills (e.g., Java, Spring Boot) and proficiency in frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) - Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines - Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and Agile methodologies - Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills - Exposure to or interest in integrating LLMs/AI tools into engineering workflows As a Software Development Lead at our company, you will be in charge of overseeing and leading the development process for key features and services spanning both backend and frontend systems.
