About the role
Role Overview: As a UI/UX Designer at Academian, your primary responsibility will be to ideate on new UX concepts and product features, formulate testing scripts, and participate in usability studies. You will be expected to understand and interpret qualitative and quantitative data as it pertains to UX, creating all required deliverables across the UX/UI process, such as user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Your role will involve designing highly creative and intuitive user interfaces tailored to diverse user groups, ensuring they follow responsive design and accessibility standards (A11y) and best practices. Additionally, you will work within and manage an evolving design system & component library, presenting and demonstrating UX/UI to managers and key stakeholders, and effectively communicating with developers for the implementation of designs. Key Responsibilities: - Ideate on new UX concepts and product features - Formulate testing scripts and participate in usability studies - Understand and interpret qualitative and quantitative data related to UX - Create all required deliverables across the UX/UI process - Design highly creative and intuitive user interfaces - Architect and design experiences following responsive design and accessibility standards - Work within and manage an evolving design system & component library - Present and demonstrate UX/UI to managers and key stakeholders - Communicate effectively with developers for implementation Qualifications Required: - Strong online portfolio showcasing examples of UX/UI design - Bachelor's Degree in user experience or related discipline - Minimum of 4 years of experience in UI/UX design, digital product design, or interactive design - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Acute attention to detail - Excitement for new technology and eagerness to develop new skills - Highly collaborative and team-focused approach - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Proficiency in Figma - Knowledge in accessibility for product design Additional Company Details: Academian is a carve-out of Intraedge Inc., an IT services company with 20 years of experience in product and solutions development.
