About The Role Project Role : Application Tech Support Practitioner Project Role Description : Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge. Must have skills : Enterprise Network Operations Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Role Summary :The Network Engineer (Level 2) is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation of network solutions. This role ensures stability, reliability, and efficient performance of enterprise networks and serves as a subject matter expert for escalated incidents. Key Responsibilities:Handle incidents and problems escalated from L1/L1.5 teams, performing deep-dive troubleshooting. Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and wireless infrastructure. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and propose permanent fixes. Collaborate on network design, architecture improvements, and capacity planning. Implement and validate network changes, including routing/switching, firewall rules, and QoS policies. Monitor performance trends and propose optimization measures. Support security initiatives by ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. Provide mentorship and guidance to L1/L1.5 teams. Skills & Qualifications:36 years of enterprise network engineering/operations experience in CISCO Nexus switches. Strong expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLAN, VTP, STP, trunking, etherchannel, vPC, MLAG, Fex). Solid knowledge of firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.) from VPN and TCP/IP perpective.Solid knowledge of Cisco DNAC, Infoblox (DHCP/DNS/IPAM) Experience with WAN, Internet failover redundancy, VPNs (Site-to-Site and client to Site), load balancers (F5/AVI/etc), and wireless LAN controllers (CSICO/Aruba/Cisco Meraki/etc). Familiar with Software defined network (Datacenter Centric [ACI, NSX, etc]/LAN Centric[SD-Access, Cisco Meraki, etc]/WAN Centric [CISCO SD-WAN VIPTELA, etc]) Experience with internet access cloud like ZScaler. Familiar with ITIL framework for Incident/Problem/Change management. Certifications preferred:CCNP (Enterprise/Security), JNCIS/JNCIP, or equivalent. Qualification 15 years full time education
