Role Overview We are seeking a highly proficient Azure Cloud Container & Platform Engineer (58 years of experience) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and production-grade containerized platforms on Azure. You will focus on the end-to-end lifecycle of containerized workloads, spanning from development to deployment across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, and Azure App Service (Container Runtime), all underpinned by robust Azure DevOps CI/CD strategies. Requirements: Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Design, build, and maintain Azure Kubernetes, Container, Container Instances, Azure Web App Container Runtime using Bicep, ARM, Terraforom Automate the provisioning of key components including Key Vault (secrets/certificates), User Assigned Managed Identities (UAMI), Storage Accounts, and comprehensive monitoring workspaces. Kubernetes Resource Management (AKS): Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes resources following GitOps best practices. This includes managing Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, and implementing Horizontal Pod Autoscalers (HPA) and Pod Disruption Budgets (PDB) to ensure workload reliability. Container Runtime & App Service Management: Configure and optimize the execution environment for containerized web applications within Azure App Service and Azure Container Apps, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines. Image Management & Registry (ACR): Oversee Azure Container Registry (ACR) lifecycles, including geo-replication, image lifecycle policies, and secure image scanning. Networking & Traffic Management: Deploy and manage Ingress controllers (NGINX), configure private endpoints, and implement robust traffic routing and load balancing strategies for both AKS and App Service containers. Security, Governance & Compliance: Enforce enterprise security standards using Azure RBAC, Workload Identities, and network segmentation (NSGs/Firewalls). Manage secret rotation via Key Vault + CSI driver integration. Observability: Configure full-stack monitoring using Azure Monitor for Containers, Application Insights, and Prometheus/Grafana to build real-time dashboards for infrastructure and application health. AKS Upgrades: Handling AKS Cluster and Node upgrades seamlessly without impact to business operations. Platform Operations: Support containerized application lifecycles using Kubernetes architect and manage robust CI/CD pipelines and drive proactive monitoring and rapid troubleshooting of cluster-wide issues. Security & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce enterprise-grade security via RBAC, complex network policies, and encryption ensure strict adherence to industry-specific compliance frameworks such as RBI and PCI DSS. Strategic Leadership: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Azure Kubernetes, Container mentoring engineering teams and championing the adoption of GitOps practices. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 58 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in Azure Kubernetes and container orchestration. Technical Expertise: o Containers: Expert knowledge of Docker, image optimization, and container runtime environments (AKS, Azure Container Apps, App Service). o Orchestration: Deep understanding of Kubernetes resources, Helm, and GitOps workflows. o IaC: Advanced proficiency in Bicep, ARM template, Terraform o Cloud Foundation: Strong knowledge of Azure Networking (VNets/NSGs), Storage, and Identity (UAMI/Workload Identity). o DevOps: Proven experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, service connections, and artifact repositories. Certification Required: o Cloud: Microsoft Certified: AZ-305, AZ-400 o Platform: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
