As a BI Engineering Specialist at Accenture, your role involves developing, maintaining, and supporting operational reports, dashboards, and scorecard solutions for clients across various industries using Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI). You will be responsible for interacting with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, and creating effective BI solutions and analytics dashboards. Here's what you would do: - Develop reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. - Connect multiple data sources in Power BI to implement functional reports. - Utilize advanced SQL writing skills and have a strong understanding of relational and dimensional data models. - Demonstrate extensive knowledge of reporting objects such as Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, and Transformations. - Respond to technical queries and requests from team members and clients. - Coach, guide, and mentor junior team members. What we are looking for in a candidate: - Minimum 2 years of experience in writing DAX in MS Power BI Desktop. - Proficiency in creating calculated measures and columns with DAX in MS Power BI Desktop. - Strong domain knowledge in the Retail Industry. - Experience in developing wireframes/mockups based on client requirements. - Team and project management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight schedules. - Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to showcase Microsoft Power BI capabilities to clients. - Strong SQL skills in at least one DB technology (preferably Teradata). - Understanding of the ETL process and ability to write complex SQL queries. - Knowledge of Power BI Mobile and Microsoft Fabric is a plus. Roles and Responsibilities: - Create dashboards, volume reports, operating summaries, presentations, and graphs. - Utilize Data Gateway for data refreshing and Content Pack Library. - Publish reports to app.powerbi.com and set up necessary connection details and scheduling. - Connect Microsoft Power BI Desktop to various data sources, with SQL Server being desirable. - Experience in Custom Visuals, Groups Creation, and Managing Embed Codes. - Proficient in data visualization using Power BI and application development. - Implement Row Level Security by defining constraints for each role. - Analyze business requirements and produce functional specifications for reporting solutions. - Showcase dashboard implementations with visual best practices. - Prepare data for visualization, including data profiling, cleansing, and modeling. - Translate end user requirements into efficient dashboards. - Work with relational and cloud-based data sources.
