Infrastructure Managed Service Specialist - ServiceNow ITAM & CMDB

Role Overview: As the ServiceNow ITAM & CMDB specialist, you will be responsible for leading the design, build, configuration, and CI of the client's HAM Pro and CMDB ecosystem on the Now Platform. Your day-to-day tasks will include owning the technical design for new HAM lifecycle workflows, governing the CMDB data model under CSDM 5.0, ratifying IRE identification and reconciliation rules, overseeing CMDB Health KPIs, and mentoring a team of 515 onshore/offshore practitioners. Key Responsibilities: - Govern CMDB design under CSDM 5.0, including mapping Service Instances, Application Services, Business Applications, and Product Models to client services. - Author and ratify IRE identification rules, reconciliation rules, data source precedence rules, and inclusion rules across all in-scope CI classes. - Define CMDB Health policy in CMDB Workspace Data Manager, focusing on Completeness, Compliance, Correctness, and Staleness windows. - Design Discovery architecture, including MID Server placement, credential affinity, IP exclusions, custom patterns, and Service Mapping. - Drive entitlement Management strategy where HAM intersects with SAM for hardware-bound licenses. - Define hardware normalization governance using the ServiceNow Content Service/Content Library. - Sign off audit & verification framework physical audit cadence, sample sizes, Mobile Agent scanning, reconciliation thresholds, and finding remediation SLAs. - Design adoption of agentic workflows to automate sourcing, transfer, and procurement of assets upon request. Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of overall IT experience on ServiceNow, with a minimum of 3 years specifically on HAM Pro and/or CMDB design/implementation. - Hands-on design experience with CMDB, including CI Class Manager, CMDB Workspace, CSDM, CI relationships, CMDB Health DBs, Data Manager, and Attestation. - Deep IRE expertise in authoring identification and reconciliation rules, data source precedence configuration, and payload design. - Hands-on experience with Discovery, MID Server design, custom Discovery patterns, credential strategy, and troubleshooting Pattern Designer execution. - Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer. - Strong client-facing communication skills and experience with large-scale HAM and/or CMDB transformation programs. Certifications Required: - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). - ServiceNow CIS-HAM (Certified Implementation Specialist Hardware Asset Management). - ITIL 4 Foundation. - At least one additional CIS certification in ServiceNow CIS-Discovery, CIS-CSDM, or CIS-ITSM.
