About the role
As a Custom Software Engineer Project, your role involves developing custom software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that are tailored to specific business needs. Your key responsibilities include: - Leading a team of 3-5 PIM professionals, providing technical guidance and conducting performance reviews. - Translating business requirements into functional specifications for the PIM system. - Overseeing the Data Governance framework to ensure consistency across product catalogs and connections between the PIM and downstream platforms for seamless data syndication. - Managing project timelines, identifying risks, and resolving bottlenecks in the data enrichment process. - Defining and optimizing complex workflows and business rules to streamline the product enrichment process. - Establishing and enforcing standards for technical documentation, testing protocols, and deployment checklists. In terms of qualifications, you must have proficiency in the Salsify Product Experience Management Platform and a strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. Additionally, you should have experience with modern programming languages and frameworks relevant to software development, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively. Familiarity with agile project management tools and practices is also required. Additional details about the company include: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Salsify Product Experience Management Platform. - This position is based at the company's Bhubaneswar office. - You should have 5-6 years of experience in PIM/MDM environments (Syndigo, Akeneo, or Salsify). - Proven experience leading a technical or data-centric team. - A strong background in Java or PHP (depending on the toolset) to guide technical troubleshooting. - Proven ability to manage data migration projects using ETL tools. - Deep understanding of the product lifecycle and Time-to-Market optimization. - Excellent communication skills for managing internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, and IT. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
