About the role
As a Custom Software Engineer Project, you will develop custom software solutions using modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Your main responsibility will be to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Python programming with a focus on automation frameworks and scripting - Utilize automation tools such as Jira and CI/CD pipelines to streamline processes - Exhibit strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in Unix environments - Apply basic understanding of Capital Markets including trading systems, market data, and financial instruments - Familiarize yourself with financial workflows and regulatory requirements, which are preferred - Quickly learn and adapt to financial technology systems - Provide EMEA shift coverage with standard hours extending until 10 PM IST - Be flexible to work beyond standard shift hours during critical incidents or project deadlines (on rare occasions) - Demonstrate a strong commitment to operational excellence and system reliability - Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones - Practice strong documentation and knowledge sharing Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience - Educational Qualification: 15 years full-time education - 6-8 years of experience in Python development and Unix automation - Previous exposure to financial services or capital markets environment - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently during extended hours - Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail - Adaptable to fast-paced, mission-critical environments As a Python Automation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge low latency financial technology and gain exposure to global capital markets.
