About the role
As a Lead Production Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the production processes and ensuring the timely execution of manufacturing orders aligned with project milestones. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and managing comprehensive production schedules for assemblies and integrated systems. - Ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), IPC standards, and defence/aerospace manufacturing standards. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Design, QA, Supply Chain, Testing) to ensure seamless execution. - Driving On-Time Delivery and adherence to project commitments. - Improving manufacturing efficiency, yield, and cycle time through standardizing production processes and documentation. - Introducing best practices in assembly, testing, and inspection. - Implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. - Supporting audits, documentation, and certification requirements. - Working with vendors for PCB fabrication, components, and assemblies. - Evaluating vendor performance and driving quality improvements. - Supporting sourcing decisions for critical components and suppliers. - Overseeing functional testing, environmental testing, and system validation to ensure readiness for customer acceptance. - Coordinating troubleshooting and debugging activities. - Leading and mentoring production technicians to build capabilities in planning, execution, and technical skills. - Defining roles, responsibilities, and accountability in teams. Key Deliverables: - On-time project delivery. - Zero/low defect production. - Improved process efficiency. - Solid vendor quality performance. - Basic understanding of timing closure and constraints (SDC/XDC). Your educational qualification should be BE/B.Tech in EEE/ECE with 9-11 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and PCB assembly. You should have knowledge of IPC standards and quality systems, testing, debugging, and system integration expertise. Additionally, familiarity with defence/aerospace manufacturing standards is required for this role. Please note that the work location for this position is in Bangalore, and there is one position available.
