Role & responsibilities Install, commission, calibrate, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) at customer sites. Provide preventive maintenance and breakdown support to ensure maximum machine uptime. Perform CMM programming using software such as PolyWorks, Rational DMIS, Metrolog, and Arcocad Develop and optimize inspection programs based on customer drawings and GD&T requirements. Conduct machine accuracy verification and calibration as per ISO standards. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and application-related issues efficiently. Deliver application support and technical training to customers on CMM operation and programming. Coordinate with customers to understand inspection requirements and provide suitable metrology solutions. Prepare service reports, calibration certificates, and technical documentation after each service visit. Support installation acceptance tests (SAT/FAT) and customer demonstrations. Coordinate with the Sales team for technical discussions, pre-sales support, and application feasibility. Ensure timely closure of service calls while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Travel extensively to customer locations across assigned regions for service and application support. Maintain spare parts inventory, service tools, and company assets responsibly. Adhere to company quality procedures, EHS guidelines, and ISO documentation requirements. Train junior service engineers and support their technical development. Continuously upgrade knowledge on CMM technology, metrology software, and industry standards. Preferred candidate profile BE/BTECH Mechanical in the relevant field Relevant industry experience as specified for the role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant software/tools. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills. Willingness to travel, if required. Positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
