About the role
Certification: Certified Safety Professional from a institute is mandatory. About the RoleWe are looking for a certified and proactive Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols at our client's industrial site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, compliance with all statutory regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture to prevent accidents and injuries. Key Responsibilities:HSE Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems, policies, and procedures in line with statutory requirements. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments (HIRA) and job safety analysis (JSA) to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.Safety Audits & Inspections: Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections, audits, and surveys of the workplace, equipment, and work methods to ensure compliance.Training & Awareness: Organize and conduct safety training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for employees and contractors to promote safety awareness.Incident Investigation: Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable legal and other HSE requirements (Factories Act, EPA, etc.) and maintain all necessary records and documentation.PPE Management: Monitor and enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across the site. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain site emergency plans and ensure readiness of emergency response teams and equipment.Reporting: Prepare and submit regular HSE performance reports to management.Qualifications and SkillsEssential:Education: Diploma in Engineering (Any stream) OR B.Sc. degree with a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety.Certification: A mandatory certification as a Safety Professional from a reputed institute (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, CLI/RLI, PDIS). Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer/Engineer in an industrial setting, preferably in manufacturing, oil & gas, or infrastructure.Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian safety laws, regulations, and international best practices. Desired:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and train personnel at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proactive, vigilant, and capable of working independently.Are you interested for the new job role ?
