About the role
As a highly skilled and experienced data lead, you will play a crucial role in uncovering insights that drive strategic business decisions. Your responsibilities will include working with large datasets, creating compelling visualizations, and mentoring data analysts to enhance our data analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Data Extraction & Preparation: - Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL scripts - Extract, clean, transform, and validate data from various sources using SQL or other relevant tools - Identify and resolve data quality issues to ensure data integrity for analysis - Reporting & Visualization: - Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar - Present complex data in a clear, visually appealing manner for stakeholders - Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency - Business Acumen & Communication: - Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations for different departments - Collaborate with business leaders to understand analytical needs and define key performance indicators - Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams - Mentorship & Leadership: - Guide junior data analysts, share best practices, and foster their professional development - Contribute to improving data analysis processes, methodologies, and tools within the team - Stay updated with industry trends in data analytics and data science Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field - 6+ years of progressive experience as a Data Analyst, with a significant portion in a senior role - Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation - Proven experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker - Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing concepts - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills - Strong communication and presentation skills - Ability to guide and mentor the team Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points): - Prior experience with Google and plx environment - Experience with cloud platforms like GCP and big data technologies - Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices As a highly skilled and experienced data lead, you will play a crucial role in uncovering insights that drive strategic business decisions.
