Mechanical Design Engineer

The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with more than 4 years of experience for a contract-based position. The role involves supporting existing product lines through sustaining engineering activities and participating in the design, prototyping, testing, and development of industrial products from concept through production. Role & responsibilities Support existing products by resolving design-related issues, enhancing reliability, and implementing cost-reduction improvements. Manage the complete product development lifecycle for industrial products. Apply mechanical engineering and machine design principles to product creation and development. Develop 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using CATIA and Creo. Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFMEA documentation. Manage engineering changes through ECN and ECO processes. Lead prototype development and conduct testing to validate new designs and product modifications. Apply DFX principles to improve manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost efficiency. Preferred candidate profile Strong expertise in CATIA and Creo for 3D modeling and drafting. Advanced knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Understanding of engineering materials, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Experience in design validation and failure mode analysis using DFMEA. Hands-on knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and simulation techniques. Minimum 4+ years of core experience in mechanical design engineering. Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
