Job Summary We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in building and operating a highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platform supporting Acuity Intelligent Spaces (AIS) solutions. This role blends hands-on DevOps engineering with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and NOC-aligned operational excellence, ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational maturity across platforms including Atrius Facilities, DataLab, and WayFinder. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Cloud Platform Engineering & DevOps Design, build, and optimise CI/CD pipelines and release processes for cloud-native applications Develop scalable, automated build, test, and deployment frameworks Drive continuous improvement in deployment efficiency, reliability, and release quality Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of new features Reliability, Monitoring & Operations (SRE aligned) Support operational readiness in collaboration with the NOC team Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews Implement and optimise monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks Improve MTTD and MTTR through automation and process improvements Define and maintain runbooks, SLAs, and operational standards Infrastructure as Code & Automation Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Bicep Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and operational toil Cloud & Platform Engineering Design and operate Azure-based cloud infrastructure at scale Manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes Support microservices-based architectures and distributed systems Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and resilient DevSecOps & Governance Integrate security tools such as SAST, SCA, and DAST into CI/CD pipelines Support and maintain compliance with standards such as SOC2 and ISO Promote secure software delivery and cloud operations practices Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Collaborate across engineering, platform, and NOC teams Contribute to a culture of automation, accountability, and operational excellence Stay current with emerging DevOps, SRE, and cloud technologies Skills and Minimum Experience Required 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles Strong experience managing and operating production cloud platforms, preferably Azure Proven expertise in CI/CD, automation, and release engineering Experience working in high-availability production environments Technical Skills Cloud Platform: Azure preferred CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins Container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep Scripting languages: Python, Bash, JavaScript, Groovy Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch Source control using Git-based systems (GitHub, Bitbucket) Operational & SRE Skills Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident management Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures Familiarity with SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets Soft Skills Strong collaboration across distributed global teams Ability to operate effectively under pressure in production environments Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
