About the role
Department: Mechanical Engineering / Project Execution Reports To: Project Manager / Engineering Head Job Summary: The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment used in rice processing, brewery, and distillery plants. This role requires technical expertise in machinery setup, alignment, and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth execution of projects with adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Machine Installation Commissioning: Supervise and execute the installation of machinery for rice mills, breweries, and distilleries. Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and functionality of mechanical equipment. Interpret technical drawings, PIDs, and manufacturer manuals for accurate execution. Conduct trial runs and performance validation before project handover. Site Supervision Quality Control: Oversee on-site mechanical activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and timelines. Perform regular inspections and quality checks to maintain installation accuracy. Enforce safety protocols and regulatory requirements during on-site execution. Troubleshooting Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning. Collaborate with the design team and vendors to address modifications or improvements. Provide training and guidance to on-site teams and operators for smooth machine operation. Coordination Reporting: Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams for project execution. Maintain documentation of installation progress, test results, and compliance records. Provide regular updates to project managers regarding milestones, challenges, and solutions. Qualifications Skills: Bachelors degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in handling machinery installation in rice mills, breweries, or distilleries. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and industrial automation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process flow diagrams. Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required. Languages: Hindi, English. Working Conditions: Predominantly on-site work in industrial plant environments. May require travel between multiple project locations. Flexible hours during installation and commissioning phases.
