About the role
Educational Qualification Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; Master s degree is an advantage. Experience 6-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management within the power/energy industry. Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans covering civil engineering aspects including site preparation, foundation works, structural elements, and finishing activities, ensuring timely delivery within allocated budgets. Coordination and Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between the design team, contractors, vendors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, technical specifications, and schedules. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement rigorous quality control processes, conduct site inspections, and enforce adherence to national and international codes and standards as well as environmental and safety regulations. Resource Management: Efficiently manage manpower, materials, and machinery on site to maximize productivity and optimize resource utilization while minimizing wastage. Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor project expenditure, analyze variances, and prepare regular progress reports to senior management, recommending corrective actions when necessary. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential civil engineering risks during all phases of the project lifecycle and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted progress. Contract Management: Support procurement and contract administration activities, review contractor submissions, and ensure contractual obligations are met as per company policies. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and adherence to Adani s values of ownership and excellence. Sustainability and Innovation: Promote sustainable construction practices and encourage innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes while minimizing environmental impact. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and reinforce Adani s commitment to social responsibility. Educational Qualification Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; Master s degree is an advantage. Certification Required Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred. Relevant safety and quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) will be an added advantage. Technical Skills Deep knowledge of civil engineering design and construction principles specific to power and energy infrastructure. Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent. Experience with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or other civil engineering design tools. Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and structural analysis. Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable construction methods. Competency in preparation and evaluation of technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
