Senior Position - Manufacturing

Role & responsibilities Manufacturing Operations Lead end-to-end jewellery manufacturing operations including Casting, CNC, Laser Cutting, Press, Stamping, Die Making, Wax Treeing, Investment, Melting, Filing, Assembly, Soldering, Polishing, Rhodium, Stone Setting, Quality Control, and Packaging. Develop and implement production plans to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Ensure optimum capacity utilization and efficient resource allocation. Monitor production KPIs including productivity, efficiency, rejection, rework, and delivery adherence. Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Production Planning & Control Collaborate with PPC to prepare production schedules based on customer demand. Ensure on-time order completion with minimum lead time. Monitor workflow across departments to eliminate bottlenecks. Improve manufacturing cycle time and throughput. Quality Management Ensure adherence to international quality standards and customer specifications. Reduce rejection, defects, and rework through process improvements. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Maintain quality systems across all manufacturing processes. Process Improvement Identify opportunities for automation and digitization. Standardize manufacturing processes through SOPs. Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Optimize material consumption and reduce wastage. Cost Management Control manufacturing costs including labour, consumables, precious metals, and gemstones. Monitor production budgets and cost-saving initiatives. Improve yield and metal recovery. Ensure effective inventory and WIP management. Plant & Equipment Management Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery and equipment. Improve machine uptime and reliability. Coordinate installation and commissioning of new machinery. Manage utilities and infrastructure efficiently. Supply Chain Coordination Work closely with Procurement, Stores, Merchandising, and Sales teams. Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and consumables. Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock. Team Leadership Lead and develop production managers, supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor workforce. Drive employee engagement and performance management. Build a culture of accountability, productivity, and continuous learning. Identify training and skill development requirements. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), labour laws, and statutory regulations. Implement workplace safety practices and risk mitigation measures. Maintain audit readiness for internal and external inspections. Technology & Digital Transformation Drive ERP/MES implementation and digital manufacturing initiatives. Utilize production dashboards and MIS for decision-making. Promote data-driven manufacturing practices.
